Actually, at least according to my states family law code, as the custodial parent, I have a responsibility to facilitate their relationship. You're right, I can't solve it for her, but we don't have an adversarial relationship. We talked and she shared her concerns. When I say "I'm struggling to find a way to help her", it's note because it's my burden to solve, it's because I don't see many good options for her. She can't/won't move close and giving her more time will likely interfere with the kids activities. As sole custodial parent, I could make it happen, but they'd resent her for it.
